i found the greatest vintage color block bags at the alameda antiques faire last month. one is currently in the shop getting a brand new closure. aside from that and some general cleaning they are in great shape and i can't wait to start using them! i am a fan of the color block trend and thoroughly enjoy it on purses.

it's been a while since i've posted and it feels good to be back. these past few months i've been busy doing "outdoorsy" things, which was a big surprise to those that know me. the saddle of my road bike is now my second home because i am training for the moab century tour with team in training. it has been one of the most enjoyable and rewarding experiences of my life, and i absolutely love cycling now. so, i was extremely delighted when i stumbled upon phillip lim's "girls on bikes" video. incredibly fabulous women biking around SF! what's not to love?

early last month, i visited australia for the first time and it was beyond awesome. in the middle of their winter season, they still had better weather than SF in the summer! they also have delicious food, cool animals, tim tams, great beer (i'm not a beer fan, but i was totally getting down with it!), wonderfully nice people, and so much more. everything in australia is very expensive though; so instead of running wild with my credit card, i decided to practice self-control by only purchasing a few great items. hello, magical boots! i've seriously worn them every day since i've been back (i'm totally getting my money's worth - score!) with any and every thing. i can't not wear them, and i'm ok with it.

i can't remember which movie taught me if you whisper "olive juice" to someone across the room or table it actually looks like you're saying "i love you." sneaky sneaky, but cute nonetheless.

a newfound appreciation for the color olive crept up on me this week - this was spurred on by an old military and japanese inspired jacket that was collecting dust in the back of my closet. to be honest, i've never really given olive the attention it deserved; but that's gonna change fast! it's amazing what you can find in your own closet if you put in the time and effort to clean it out. i'm already having separation anxiety thinking about getting rid of some of my stuff. but it's for the best, and only means there's more room and hangers for the new! olive juice forever.

i love me some animal prints, and lately i've been such a fan of mixing and matching (any and all) prints. in my wardrobe animal prints usually appear in the form of shoes, scarves, belts, purses, sweaters, dresses, skirts and tops. honestly, i never in a million years thought i'd be attracted to animal print on shorts or pants; but these street style shots immediately caught my eye. i adore their looks because they scream playful, bold, confident, and i'm not afraid to take risks.
